Default Best stops LV to east coast?

I'm planning an 7-8 week road trip from Las Vegas to the east coast. Hoping to hit Jackon Hole, Mt. Rushmore, the Chicago area, Kansas City, Boston & Nantucket during our trip, as well as about 9 nights on Long Island, NY. Does this sound like enough time? We'll probably travel with our 17-ft. travel trailer.

We'll be traveling with a 6 year old child & a 10 year old dog (she loves to travel, so she shouldn't have any problems). Does anyone have any other suggestions on "must-see's" during our trip?

    Have a nice trip!

  3. Default Dog advice

If you stop to see the Missouri or Mississippi rivers as you cross them, keep the pooch on a short leash. If there happens to be anything moldering along the banks of the river, your dog, if free to do so, WILL find it and roll in it thoroughly. Do not ask me how I know this. Just keep it in mind and don't say you weren't warned! :) Bob
