from austin to california to las vegas with scenic drives?

I am leaving on june 24th and want to travel from austin to los angeles using the most scenic routes and stops. I want to go from the beach to the grand canyon and las vegas by the 1st of july. I will be staying there until the around the 4th and then want to take a different scenic route back to austin from vegas. any suggestions on how to plan this? this is my first road trip

There are some great roadtrip planning tools on this website under the "roadtrip planning" tab. You can start there. Looking at a road atlas is helpful as they show national parks, state parks, etc. along the way that might intrigue you.
