    Default Butane cans

    Hi,
I'm going on a southwest roadtrip this summer. I'll carry a portable camping butane stove along and I was wondering if I could encouter any danger if I leave butane cans in the car while in hot Southern States? Should I put them in the cooler? Maybe it sounds stupid but I don't want it to blow in my face while I'm driving or sleeping! I carried some before but only in New England and Canada, not exactly as warm as in the SW I guess...

Thanks and have a nice day!

    Default No problem!

I live in Arizona -- it's often 115 degrees here and can be much hotter in closed storage areas -- I've never had a problem with them in twenty+ years. Under normal circumstances they are not something that will just "blow" because of atmospheric heat. Bob
