Default 2 Month USA roadtrip

HiYa,

We are a young UK couple who are about to embark on a huge roadtrip (mainly on the US east coast). We have an unlimited amount of time but are planning maybe 2 months in total. Our planned route is below. Just wondering if anyone thought that we may be skipping a town that is fun/interesting?? or if we have included a town that is not too fun/interesting?? Any help would be really greatly appreciated. We are driving a car that we will buy in miami, and will be staying at cheaper hotels. Many thanks in advance.
Plan:
Miami
Fort Lauderdale
Orlando
Savannah (via Daytona Beach)
Atlanta (via Augusta)
Nashville (via Lynchburg)
Memphis
St Louis
Chicago (1 day Milwaukee)
Indianapolis
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Washington DC
Baltimore
Atlantic City
Philadelphia
New York
Boston
Bangor
Quebec
Montreal
Ottawa
Niagra Falls
Toronto

You might also include Hannibal, Missouri (boyhood home of Samuel Clemens and scene of many of his stories), Springfield, Illinois (for the Abe Lincoln connection), Isle Royal National Park (in Lake Superior) and/or Mackinac Island (near St Ignace, Michigan).

These are places that literally brim with American charm!

In Washington there is tons to do, all the monuments, Arlington Cemetary, White House, etc. Do yourself a favor and purchase a map or go on the internet and get one of the United States, then any state in the area in which you will be heading do a search for things to do. You will find lots of site on the internet or go to www.fodors.com and select talk then go to US and in the box insert a state name or subject and lots of messages will come up and you can do from there.

Default Washington DC Walking Tours

I reviewed an audio CD a few weeks ago that is really good and provides a fairly comprehensive overview of things to be seen in the Washington DC area. It was called Washington Schlepped Here.
