Default need help planning

I want to take a trip from san diego, ca. to bismarck, nd. via Denver, co. I am driving by myself. I need tips on driving in the winter elements, maybe there are some cool places I should stop. Any advice is welcome.

Default The grotto is a good place to pause

Indian Springs, (just west of Denver) was one of the R&R hang-outs of Jessie James and is a darn nice place to take a relaxing soak on your way to Bismarck.
