Default There are some excellent songs on this forum

    Laura,

This has been a frequent thread -- if you put road music into the search utility found at the top of the page, you will find several hundred suggested titles for road music. (Hint:)When the thread list is displayed be sure to click on the "Show Thread Button" to see the rest of the title suggestions.

Also you can look at the list at http://www.roadtripamerica.com/music/roadtunes.htm

One thing I like bringing is "books on tape" and comedy CDs. It's a nice change from music.

    Default Yep!

That is a definitive statement and one we always listen to at the beginning of long road journey. A short list of some more is on-line at http://www.roadtripamerica.com/music/roadtunes.htm

    Default Just for you!

    Lyrana,

Great concept. Just for you, we are in the midst of creating an audio book review page. The first version of that resource is now on-line at http://www.roadtripamerica.com/read/goodbooks.htm

    Default Road Trip Music

I realize this thread is now quite old, but I have a new (to me)road music discovery that I wanted to share.

Yesterday as I left Oakland for San Diego a friend shreeked, ran inside and came out and deposited a pile of disks in my hand. (no cases, just disks!) From Oakland to LA I listened to "Hear Music" compilations. These will now be a permanent part of my "road trip" library. (if I hadn't had these, I would have listened to the radio at least a bit and might have known about the horror that was unfolding at home....not sure if that's good or bad)

Default Road Music is always current

Thanks for the tune suggestion. We don't archive anything on this forum so all threads remain "live" for a long, long time.

Is/was your home threatened by the fires?

No, I'm pretty much out of harms way, which makes my strong feelings about this all the more puzzling. I'm just praying for this "phase" of the situation to end quickly.
