Myrtle Beach

I will be traveling from Chilhowie, VA to Myrtle Beach, SC leaving on July 17. Can anyone give me directions and good places to stop on the way

Don't speed in Aynor, SC. It's a speed trap, and tickets are a huge source of income for that town. Take SC 22, the Conway bypass into town. (Actually, if coming from VA that's probably not the best way.) Hardly anyone uses it and it's interstate quality. It can be lonely however. I'm from SC and have never been to South of the Border on I-95 at the SC/NC border, so I can't give you an opinion on that.

Ignore that, I was wrong. I would go I-77 to I-74 to I-40 to US 17.

Definately cruise the strip while you're there. Ocean blvd. Crazy at night.
