    Default advice advice advice

Okay, I read in a newspaper about an amazing trip starting at San Francisco, hopefully you people should know all about it (can anyone fill me in). I was thinking of coming to the states and buying a cheap car 4 the trip (selling at the end) ...yes ..no?

and can anyone recommend a trip that will blow my mind i've got about a monthto play with.

    any advice would be appreciated

    Default Scenic Byways

The trip you are referring to is probably the coast highway (US Hwy 1) south from the San Francisco area to south of Santa Barbara. There are parts of it that are truly spectacular and all of it is beautiful. I recommend having at least two drivers who can trade off so the driver can resist the urge to sightsee very much. You REALLY have to pay attention when you are driving much of it.
The US Federal Highway Administration has also designated many scenic byways throughout the country and publish maps and other information to help people find and enjoy them. They are located throughout the US and many of the individual states have done the same. You can get info on the federal routes at www.byways.org. I suggest searching for <State> tourism to locate information on any state programs you are interested in. Have a great trip.

    Default Oops

I had a slip of the keyboard in the previous message. The route I referred to is actually California Hwy 1. The area around Carmel and Big Sur is my favorite but, as I said, the entire route is wonderful.
