Cross Country

Hi,

I'm planning to go cross country this summer for 2 weeks one-way, and was wondering if anyone has any suggests of where to go. I'm going to be leaving from D.C and finishing in San Francisco. I'm not too sure what I want to see, or what route to take. I do know that I would like to drive through part of the Grand Canyon and spend a day in Las Vegas. The rest of the plan is open to suggestions. If you have any please let me know. Also, if you know of any cool sites that you could recommend, that would be great.

I recently drove across the US. I found Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa very nice. The only place i went that i did not like was Detroit, very dirty there.

Almost any route is fun in that country. For some zanier stops you might look at www.moon.com/road_trip/index.html

It isn't possible to "drive through" the Grand Canyon unless you are driving a boat or a helicopter. New Mexico has some of our favorite scenery on earth. What kinds of things interest you?

I will be leaving from Ny with our final destination being San Francisco.
We have decieded that we will take the southern route.Any information would
be helpful.We like to horseback ride,swim,even hanglide,not that we will be
doing such things,but just to give you an idea of what kind adventure seekers we are,
may help in determing what kind of information you may want to give.

WE WILL BE TRAVELING FROM FRESNO,CA. TO BIRMINGHAM, ALA. AND
THEN FROM ALABAMA TO FAYETTVILLE, N.C.IN OUR MOTORHOME. ANY
