Gonna hit the road

We are both thinking seriously of "hitting the road" also with our first RV.
We have never owned a RV previously or have even rented one. The people we
speak with are heavily divided as to whether to rent a motorhome prior to
using one for any length of time. We have our specific model picked out and
would like to order it in the summer. Got any advice?

Philosophically, the wife and I are thinking of taking two years off and, if
we get bored, returning to something we like to do after that.

I travel alot because of work (mostly pipelines) and am looking to buy a fifth wheel. Have been looking at Travel Supremes and Montanas as I will need an all season RV. Any info on these? Or other ones? Anyone live extensively in a 5th wheel? Will make it home for 4 or 5 months at a time, and sometimes more. Appreciate any info!!! JODIE

Although we don't live in a fifth wheel, I spend a good deal of time evaluating different vehicles that allow for living and working on the road.

We have been on the road for about 5 years.
Just stating that we have been full-timers that long, says somethng in itself! We have seen the sunshine and the storms, been to places we loved and places we just liked seeing! It all comes down to doing what you want, when you want and with less stress in your life...most of the time.
