That was a great read.

I've done some driving in Mexico - more often in a rental car, but a time or two in my own car as well - and all of my experiences pretty much line up with what he recommends.

I've never driven my own car deep enough into Mexico to require the various additional permits, but it is interesting that much of that is starting to go digital, which would hopefully make that process a little faster and easier.
