I used to receive a daily update of new threads across all of the RTA forums. Has this feature been disabled? I really miss it.

Have you checked your spam folder?
Yes, I am rather proficient in checking the Spam folder!
So, how do I re-subscribe? Maybe I am did or am doing something wrong.

I hear you on the activity level. The surfing forum that I run is way down on activity. All the action has shifted to Facebook groups, Instagram, etc., but it sure isn't the same.
I agree, but the forum software isn't sufficiently young and hip enough to grow new audiences. I heard from the son of one of our long-time members who just graduated with a degree in computer sciences and he refers to RTA as being "ancient." Hardly, a sobriquet that bodes well for us.
Tom and I spend dozens of hours every week working on the link-rot that has arisen as a result of managing a web site that has been producing new content every day for the last 9,889 days. There is a lot of html software that has been sunsetted over the last 27 years for which there is no replacement.
Likewise, there is no replacement for the expert advice that our members provide free about road tripping in North America.
Here are the instructions for updating your subscriptions.
If you need more help, let me know what is confusing and I will endeavor to explain.
Thanks,
Mark
Thank you.
As to Forums modernity, don't believe it! One of those new modern ones is Discord--to me it looks like a lot of noise and difficult to navigate. Maybe it looks different on a cell phone but I don't use my cell phone to read forums.
As to Facebook, it can be good in groups, but it has no structure and information is lost and not organized. Facebook has also mostly become a visual experience with photos and videos. Then there is //Reddit, Instagram and Pinterest. Sorry. None of these provide the catalogue of an RTA or my surfing forum. Speaking of which, I need to update my PHP version and update my phpBB forum software (several versions behind).
We are somewhat limited in what versions of PHP and MySQL that we can upgrade to, due to configuration issues. Good luck with your surfing site!
And thanks for being an active and valued member here!
Mark
