    Default Mark Forums Read

    Mark Forums Read

When using the Forum Actions dropdown - Mark Forums Read, it works.

When clicking on the Mark Forums Read direct link at the bottom of the forum, we get:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

    Question Where is this link?

    George,

I am trying to find this error -- for some reason I can't locate the Mark Forums Read direct link --> Where do you see it?

Unfortunately, the "security token" message is a frequent error message on this forum --it's triggered by a 2-3 different causes. But I will keep investigating.

Click back to the main forum and it's in between the forum pages and the Activity report.(Whats going on) I'm seeing the same thing George reported.

Though it must still actually do something? When I come back to the forum the next time, I only see the indicator for new posts on ones that have occurred in the meantime, not ones that were new this time.

Thinking I have seen that happen on another forum somewhere as well, but can't remember which one it was.

I am not sure I understood your question. Activity on this forum is so low compared to a couple of years ago, there's rarely a need to mark posts as read -- but as long as we are working on bug fixes we could address yours.

Sorry for any confusion, I was referring to what GLC mentioned in the first post (which is actually marking forums, not posts).

That is what I click and get the same error, but when I return to view the forums, those that were marked with new postings the prior time are no longer marked as such, unless additional posts have been made between viewings. So, the thought was that, even though that error occurs, something in the background is actually working to remove the "new" symbols from forums after you have clicked that button, even if it looks like it is giving an error and not working.

Actually, that is helpful to know.

    Thanks,
