Anyone expecting to drive to the Whitney Portal Trailhead in California is going to be delayed. This fire is still trucking along.

Oh my!

I wonder what they're going to do with all the "Whitney Lottery" winners whose permits will expire? I'd be really bummed if I'd "won" a slot in the February draw and wasn't allowed to use it. Did it 20 years ago, had a ball, but likely won't ever do it again.

They had to rescue a bunch of cars from the parking lot -- Yeah, I don't know badly damaged the road is now.
