    Big Island - HAWAII

    Isaac Hale Beach Park, near Hilo
    Note: Currently closed (2019) due to lava flows.
    Laupahoehoe Beach Park, Laupahoehoe
    Kalopa State Recreation Area
    Mahukona Beach Park, Waimea
    Note: Intermittent water issues. BYO Water.
    Spencer Beach Park, Waimea
    Kiholo State Park Reserve
    Note: NO WATER, and very primitive sites. Not developed much at all.
    Hooeka Beach Park, Captain Cook
    Makuna State Wayside, Ocean View
    Whittington Beach Park, Naalehu
    Note: BYO Water.

    Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Campgrounds

    KAUAI

    Koke'e State Park
    Kawaikoi Campground, Na Pali Kona Forest Reserve
    Note: Walk in or 4WD in. Not really easily accessible by the average camper.
    Polihale State Park
    Note: The entrance road is rough and, at times, impassable by the average vehicle. Rental car companies often prohibit using this road.
    Lucy Wright Park, County of Kaua'i, Waimea
    Salt Pond Park, County of Kaua'i, near Hanapepe
    Hanamaulu Beach park, County of Kaua'i, Lihue
    Note: Closed until further notice.
    Anahola Beach Park, Lihue
    Ha'ena State Park
