    NO! Full stop.
Your trip is not doable because of this very first day alone. Your day 1 is about twice as far as a professional driver is allowed to travel in a day. Having 2 drivers does not make this remotely close to possible (I'll also note if you have a bad back, even thinking about this sounds like a special sort of hell). It's also a computer generated fantasy that you could complete an 1100 mile drive in just 15 hours - an average speed of more than 70 mph! Over the course of a full day on the road, in the real world, where you have traffic and construction and the need for food, fuel, and rest - you're doing well if you can average more than about 55 mph over the course of a day - that that's with a cruising speed of beyond 70 mph. R

Real world, you need a bare minimum of 2 days for this leg - and they will still be 10 hour days on the road. You also need 2 full days for your trip home. Anything less and not only will you be a danger to yourself and everyone else on the road, but you'll be setting yourself up for a miserable trip where you'll be exhausted from day one.

Mind you - beyond your insane plan to drive more than 1100 hours on day one, you plan to start day 2 at 7am. When exactly do you think you'd be sleeping on this schedule?

I could go on, but the problems are exactly the same throughout the trip - everything is filled will grand ideas of being able to cover 500+ miles a day, and see multiple major sites in that same day, all while keeping to a precise timetable that isn't close to possible in the real world.

Mind you, you say you have 2 weeks for this trip - so I don't know why on earth you're thinking of slamming all of this into 8 days. With a full 2 weeks, something resembling this general outline is possible, but you really need to go completely back to the drawing board planning for nearly everything you've listed to take as least twice as long as you've got in this plan.

    Default Need to start over.

Michael's spot on, your whole trip is either dangerous or impossible and you have made the classic mistake of taking travel times from a mapping program and presuming everything will fall into place. Apart from the suicidal first day and then thinking you will be able to get up fresh and early the following morning, you then want to drive 500 miles and visit Arches NP and Four corners before finding somewhere to lodge, it's not going to happen. The next day doesn't get any better where you wouldn't have any time to enjoy Monument valley or the Grand canyon. I have stopped there because the plan needs a total rework for it to be realistic, never mind enjoyable. If you do have 14 days and you adjust what you already have accordingly then it could be a nice trip.

Please post the places you want to visit, and how much time you want to be in each place. We can then fill it in and be able to tell you if it's doable in 2 weeks. Note that you really need a full day to see a national park.

In Monument Valley, I'd advise you to book a guided Jeep tour rather than drive your own car through it, it's a really rough unpaved road. You only see a small fraction of it just driving through it on Highway 163.

Can you confirm exactly how much time you have available. A quick look at how 14 days might look.

    1) KY to Topeka KS.
    2) To Central City CO.
    3)To Arches NP
4)Arches, continue to Four Corners and Monument valley. Stay Cameron Trading post?
    5)Grand canyon
    6)Las Vegas
7)Las Vegas or near Salvation Mtn
    8)Sedona
    9)Holbrook
    10)Santa Fe via Petrified forest.
    11)Amarillo
    12)Springfield
    13) Home.

So that gives you a day spare, but remember this is a 5 minute put together so you can see how you would have some time to see things along the way and not be on the road for 15 hours. Do a little research and come back with your own plan and then we can help to 'tweak' it.

Hope to see a good new itinerary for this. My brother and I been planning for this kind of trip and this looks like a pretty good places to go. He's too excited he started ordering parts for his truck.

RTA is a whole community of people who are here and eager to help YOU plan YOUR trip, but we aren't a full service Travel Agency who will plan a trip for you.

We have already offered suggestions on the things you need to do to make a trip feasible, Dave even offered a rough day by day outline that would let you get to most of the things on your list, but now the ball is in your court. It's up to you to figure out which things are your priorities. We'll help you with any questions you might have, but we can't do this for you.
