  1. Default Boston to Glacier National Park via Sault Ste. Marie

Any suggestions for a road trip from New England to Montana?
We're contemplating going through Montreal, Ottawa and Sault Ste. Marie, WI.

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Every roadtrip is different, and the reality is no one can really give you any meaningful advice unless you tell us quite a bit more. Who is going on this trip (family, friends, seniors, teens?), how much time do you have, what kinds of things are you interested in?

Going up through Canada is certainly an option, and it can be a very nice drive. You will need passports and it's worth noting that Sault Ste. Marie is in Michigan, it's also a fair bit slower than going through the US.

Also, what time of the year are you planning to do this travel? If you're planning to see the vast majority of Glacier National Park, be aware that the main road through it, Going to the Sun Highway, doesn't open for the season usually until late in June, then closes shortly after Labor Day.
