  1. Default 128 in utah in december

Hey guys how are we all. I am planning a trip to the states from Australia end of dec. flying into Denver to stay with friends for 5 nights was then planning on driving to Grand Canyon national park with an over night in Moab. At this stage planning on taking the
I-70 with a cut along the 128 for a bit more of a scenic trip along the river. With weather conditions changing constantly, first of all is this a good idea, if weather goes south on the trip what are my options, is a 1 night stop over a safe call or should i be prepared for 2. Any advice at this stage would be appreciated. Going to be hiring a 4x4 from Denver. Worst case a Jeep Compass.

    Welcome to RTA!

If the weather conditions are bad, just stay on I-70 to US-191. I'd be prepared for 2 nights on the road just in case.

You might want to plan on keeping your options open and find lodgings as you go. What you have planned is what I would do given the choice, but the weather can be 'iffy' in the Rockies in the midst of winter.
