  1. Default Suggestions for our SE roadtrip

We're heading out with our 3 kids for a 9-12 day road trip through the southeast. Our only requirements are to start/end in Philly and hit Ashville, NC around day 7-9. We'd also like to hit Charlelston & Savannah. Does anyone have any family friendly suggestions? The kids are 2mos, 4, & 5, so I'd like to keep things interesting.

    Thank you!!!

Default A Starter Set of Ideas

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

While not specifically chosen with children in mind, the general routes and stops listed in this post will put you on track for some great times that do more than just entertain the kids, but teach them something as well. For example, in Charleston, I'm sure they'd enjoy the ferry ride out to Fort Sumter and an hour or two running around that old fort. By the way, the ferry leaves from Patriot's Point which is also home to an aircraft carrier, submarine and other naval vessels. If you come up the Delmarva Peninsula, a visit to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge would also be in order. Hope these ideas help.
