  1. Default 3 Country Drive:Windsor,CA to Mexico

I am wanting to plan a drive from Winsor, Ca to Mexico this summer. I only want to travel on secondary style roads (no interstates) and slower speeds since an EV will be involved. Does anyone have any idea about the shortest distance with the best route?

Default not much to go on

Well, shortest distance between Windsor and the Mexican Border is going to be about 1600 miles, reaching the crossing at Laredo, TX.

Beyond that, there are really way too many 2 lane road combination possibilities to really start listing things off. Googlemaps and MapQuest (or any other mapping program) should have an "avoid highways" feature that you can click to find out their recommendations for the shortest possible way to do this.

    Default Route 66

Pick up Route 66 in Chicago and take it to Amarillo, Texas, for a real trip back into time.

  4. Default

We usually head to Nashville first where we pick up the Natchez Trace Parkway with 650 miles? of no traffic, no traffic lights, no stop signs and no commercial vehicles allowed (50 mph speed limit).
Then we take 10 until we enter Texas and then the guff coast highway to Brownsville then after a rest in the Rio Grande Valley we head for Guadalajara, via Saltillo, then down to the Pacific coast states of Jalisco and Nayarit, after a stop in Tequila
