  1. Default Montreal to WA state

I am planning to drive from Montreal, QC to Kennewick,WA in 2 weeks and I was hoping I could get some ideas of must see's along the way. I am heading to Niagara Falls first, then crossing into the states. I will have a little over a week.

Bienvenue sur les forums de RoadTrip Amérique. Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

At a shade over 2,800 mi (4,500 km), you're looking at needing a bare minimum of 5 days to complete the journey by the most efficient route possible. Still, you have the equivalent of two days to spread around on stops and scenic routes as you go. Besides stopping at Niagara Falls and perhaps at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, I'd suggest that after Chicago, you plan on using I-90 for your main thoroughfare. That will take you by some of best sights including Badlands, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks. Seeing those alone could easily chew up your two 'extra' days, but you might also want to consider Devils Tower and using US-12 over Lolo Pass and through some of the Palouse country of southeastern Washington as well.
