  1. Default DC to San Francisco! NEXT WEEK!

Hey guys, I just decided that instead of shipping my car over from VA to my new job in SF bay, I'm gonna make the drive.

I'll be leaving next Monday or Tuesday and will be giving myself 5-6 days for the whole thing. Is that too little?

I know I'll be stopping by at the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque, New Mexico (if Greg Jackson's MMA team lets me visit them haha). Any other things that I just CAN'T miss on my trip?

Any advice is appreciated. I was looking over these forums the last couple days and this place is AWESOME! I'm used to airports and travel but not road trips hehe, gonna read up around these forums for more info :)

    Default Welcome!

Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!

Generally, it takes five days to get from coast to coast, without too many stops for sight seeing. I would definitely take the time to see the Grand Canyon, if nothing else, but I don't think you're going to have much time to do anything else on this trip.

Are you going to be starting your new job right away when you arrive? Or can you add some more time to this trip?

6 days is doable, but 7 is definitely not doable.
