  1. Default LA to CA Natl Parks

    Hi everyone -

Looking for some assistance in how to make a 4-day trip, starting in Orange County, CA, to as many of the following natl. parks as possible in July.

    Joshua Tree
    Death Valley
    Sequoia/Kings Canyon

We'll end up in SF (home) on the fifth day.

There seem to be a lot of threads of people going from SF to Vegas and/or LA, but few that actually start in LA and end up in SF (not the coastal route).

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

You are correct that many of the threads talk about visiting Vegas in addition to those places, but I'd still encourage you to take a look at them. The same basic principals and ideas will apply.

Otherwise, your trip should be fine if you keep in mind that you'll be looking at a lot of time driving to get to all these places in just 4 days. I think you'd probably have to go to Joshua Tree first, then DV, over Tioga Pass into Yosemite, and then back down to Sequoia. All of these places are several hours apart at least, so while I don't think it will be too overwhelming to do all of them, you're not going to have a lot of time to explore either.
