  1. Default East Spring Break Camping Trip

I am a College student in Ohio and I am planing a trip with 2 of my buddys to go camping. We would like to go some place warm but not to a long trip. We are thinking around Georgia, NC, SC, Virgina, West Virgina. If you have any nice camping site that are secluded, and maybe have a lake or river. Please let me know

-We will be camping for around 4-5 day
    -Drive 8 hrs or less
    -Secluded camp site
    -Lake or river

Thank you. Any ideas are welcome just post! We are leaving around March 20!

    Default National Forests

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

If you are looking for a secluded site by the water, I think it is hard to beat the National Forest Service.

Finding secluded sites by water can be a little tricky, since site by the water are usually the most popular. Forest Service sites sometimes are underused, and often allow dispersed camping that would let you find a nice spot by a lake or river. There would be limited or no services here, but if you are looking to get away from others, this is the first place I would look.
