  1. Default Yosemite Snow in April

Hi I will be visiting Yosemite around 19/20th April this year. We will be coming up the long way around from Death Valley as I know that Tioga Pass and various parts of the park will be closed due to snow. However will we will be able to get to Mariposa Grove and will all Yosemite Valley be accessible? I'm trying to get an idea or whether to spend 1 or 2 full days in the park at this time of year?

We then plan to drive to San Francisco on hwy 120 - are we likely to encounter any snow problems on this road?

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

You might see some snow inside Yosemite National Park in April, but it shouldn't hinder your visit at all. The valley is open, and worth seeing, all year round. My last visit to the park was in Febrary and the snow just added to the experience.

CA-120 shouldn't be a problem, as long as you are talking about the section from the Yosemite Valley to I-5. Tioga Pass, which is also signed as CA-120, which goes over the Sierra through Yosemite National Park will obviously be closed.
