  1. Default NJ to SC - What's Not To Miss???

Taking a road trip this Thursday from NJ to SC for a little vacation in Myrtle Beach (will be my 1st time there)... we really want to stop and see some nifty/fun stiff like "South of the Border" on the way. We plan to make it a laid back, no rush, ride (planning on staying at a motel or something halfway down even).

The problem is, we have no idea what else is worth checking out on the way!

Any suggestion on stops we should be sure not to miss would be great! Really hoping to get some help soon! We're leaving in 3 days!!! :)

    Thanks a ton! :D

    Default An Option

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

For a relaxed drive one way or the other, consider bypassing Baltimore, Washington and Richmond, and instead drive down through Delaware on US-13 and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. A few of the nifty/fun places along this route include Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and NASA's 'other' launch facility. If you really want to slow the pace down, you can even consider taking a day trip by ferry over to Tangier or Smith Islands in Chesapeake Bay.
