  1. Default Las Vegas To Yosemite

    Hi Guys,

I am off to Vegas early September with a few friends and we are planning to drive from Vegas to yosemite, over a two day period, befeore heading off to san fran. So we want to spend two days driving from vegas to yosemite,is this enough time to do it well, and what would be your advised route for ultimate scenery be?(death valley, lakes etc). We would like to stop off for the night somewhere also, does anyone have any recommendations? I here Bishop is a good place, but could we make it there in a day from vegas going via death valley.

Default Sounds like you have it all in hand

Two days is more than enough for this journey and you can take in a lot of scenery along the route in that time.

Leave Las Vegas as early as you can and head to Death Valley NP via Parhump and Death Valley Junction. Explore the park then overnight in the Bishop area. Second day continue towards Yosemite by way of Mammoth Lakes and the Tioga Pass. I did a 4,000 mile trip throuh the South West last summer and this section was right up there as one my favourite (and most definately the most memorable) sections of the trip.
