Copperstown, New York

We're going to Copperstown, New York in July. (baseball)
I would like to visit Amish country, can someone tell me where I could go that would be a day trip from Copperstown? Also about how far is Niagar falls from Copperstown?

Also, is there anywhere else that is recommended for a day trip? We are staying in copperstown all week.

We're going to Cooperstown, New York in July.

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! Niagara Falls is about 250 miles from Cooperstown and about five hours each way. Here are some posts about this area:

Other day trip options could include:

Steamtown National Historic Site (Scranton, PA) (2.5 hours) There is also a coal mining tour that I think would be pretty cool -- Lackawanna
The Corning area has the Corning Museum of Glass about 2.5 hours the other direction -- you would also pass through Elmira, which has been the de-facto center of gliding for several years.

If you go down to the Lancaster area, you could swing by Hershey, PA.
