  1. Default Houston through California

well, idealy, i would like to go from houston to san diego to la to san fransisco and make it back within 10 days. i assume that ill need more time if i want to do that. it will just be me and one or two other people all around the age of 20, so i doubt we'd mind doing a long stretch of driving. any tips? whats the minimum amount of days we'd need? id like to spend one day in san diego and la each, and spend more time in san fransisco and between.

Default I'm not totally sure what you're asking

By the quickest routes, this trip would be about 4000 miles. You should figure at least 70 hours to drive this. Another way to figure this....we usually recommend not driving more than about 500 miles per day to allow some time to explore a bit along the way. That's 8 days of just driving. Add the number of days you want to explore each city and that will give you an idea of the minimum recommended time for this trip. It looks like you'll need a minimum of 12 days to me. If you want to drive more miles/hours per day, you could do it in less days. It really depends on how much driving you want to do each day.
