Default New RV and ready to roll

I'm from Ontario, Canada and the wife and I just made a deal on A Jayco Eagle 26 foot travel trailer. I'm anxious to take at least one big trip this summer. We were thinking the Nashville area. Anyone have any experiences in this area and I guess from Buffalo down.

Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!

What is your available time frame for this trip? One week, two?

There are many great places to investigate along this route, and in the area:

    Grand Canyon (of Pennsylvania)
Letchworth State Park in New york
Cumberland Falls in Kentucky (I have been to Kentucky several times and really enjoy it)

Nashville itself is a really neat town, too.

You could cut down into Pittsburgh, PA and along the Interstates through the mountains of West Virginia.

    What are your interests?

Well we are country music fans and we have 2 small kids so I am sure they will limit our nightlife.

We enjoy sightseeing and I am a pretty avid photographer. Sitting by the fire and enjoying a few brews outside in the fresh air is so good for the soul.

    Default Nashville

Nashville isn't only about nightlife (though I can understand that) - it is a city that has a walkable downtown, with a lot of different restaurants, both chain and unique.

Depending on the age of your kids, you might want to also check out Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. While it's not the best place for photography, it is well worth the tour.

On your way into Tennessee, be sure to hop off the Interstate and explore at least one of the US or state roads in the Kentucky - Tennessee area. Eastern Ohio also has several of these roads that are off the beaten path, fairly straight but not heavily traveled.

Depending on the time of year, the atmosphere can be hazy, something to be prepared for with your photography. I have found polarizing filters to be helpful here.
