  1. Default Fear of heights and mountains

I will be traveling by Amtrak from Chicago to Denver, Colorado and by car from Denver to Fort Collins. I'm extremely fearful of mountains and have been assured that I will only be able to see the mountains in these areas and not have to actually be in them. Correct? I need reassurance as I get panic attacks going through Chatanooga, TN and don't want to experience that. Immediate replies appreciated. Thank you.

That is correct, you can avoid the mountains that way -- there are some low hills on the north side of Denver, but no mountains.

  3. Default panic attacks

I can sympathize as I have bridge phobia. I don't know anything about the route but I take xanax before I know I'll have to cross a monster bridge and it does the trick. I also do deep breathing, turn the music up loud and focus on the lyrics, not the height.
