  1. Default Vancouver -to- Banff

    Hello all,

I just joined this forum and I was wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions on a trip I am going to have from Vancouver to Banff (Of course, the trip I am thinking about should include Lake Louise, Golden, Jasper, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions on references, links, comments, etc, I can look up to?

The trip should about 4 days roundtrip.

    Thanks a lot

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip! When is this trip planned for? -- Here in the states we are seeing record snow-fall -- I haven't checked on BC and Alberta yet today, so I don't know what is going on there. -- Question -- is this Vancouver, BC or WA?

Our coverage of Alberta and BC locations is somewhat limited, but here are a few of the places we have visited. I really like the area around Nelson, Kimberley and Fairmont Hot Springs.

If you interest in roadtrips has to do with large objects we have some listed in our roadside art selections and we often use this site for finding out of the way places. And if stuffed gophers interest you -- check this out!

    Happy Planning!

    Hello Mark,

The trip will be on May 27th for 4 days. It is Vancouver in B.C., Canada. Thanks for the information. I will keep searching for more on Banff related topics.

If anyone knows anything information I can find out about Banff, please let me know.

    Thanks a lot, Mark.

    Hey there.

I'm currently living in Calgary and I can say that Banff is super cool. Canmore has very nice golfing, but that isn't much of a roadtrip activity. There is always the Banff Hot Springs in conjunction with the Fairmont Hot Spring as well as Radium.

Even just seeing the Banff Springs Hotel is nice. If you're looking for places to check out in Banff, well, I can't even begin to list them all. Lots of tourist-y places with some nice pubs and restaurants scattered around as well.

I'll be doing a similar route as you in June. A 'tad' longer, but I can't wait to see Vancouver as I am yet to have been.

Anyway, one other thing is, if you up for stopping for a hike, I recommend Johnston Canyon. There are varied length hikes, so it's suitable for everyone. Even if you only want to stop for a quick view of the waterfalls there, it's a pretty cool stop.

    Enjoy your trip.
