    Default 8 seater vehicle hire

    Hi all
Been to Southern california a few times and loved it.
This year willbe coming with wifes sisters family, and I have "been" volunteered to drive.
Simple question any views on best company and vehicle to hire in LAX area that can carry 5 adults 2 teenagers and a child.
    Minivan or SUV?

    Thanks in anticipation.

    Default One Critical Difference

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America forum.

I can't speak to which the best company might be. I usually choose the cheapest car rental company and have never been disappointed in the basic service of any of the major US companies. What is critical to your search is that you have 8 people, and you'll have to be very selective in the make and model of the vehicle you reserve. Most full-sized SUVs (Dodge Durango, Chevy Tahoe, and GMC Envoy) and the larger minivans (Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan) seat 7 people. Only the Ford Expedition (that I know of) seats 8. The next size up is a full-sized van such as the Chevy Express which seats 15
