I'm visiting Michigan from New Jersey, and I have a day to kill and a car rented. I'm going to drive from Ann Arbor to GR, but I don't want to waste my afternoon sitting on I-94 or I-96. Any thoughts? I'm all up for senic backroads.
Thanks,
Peter

Peter, I know several scenic roads in the southwestern section of Michigan, a bunch around Saginaw Bay and several more in the Traverse City area, but I just don't recall routes between Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids. It is very rare that I ever get this stumped. One thing that is very worthwhile would be to visit the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.Originally Posted by Peter Bratt
Once you arrive in Grand Rapids, check out the downtown sculptures and the Frederick Meijer Gardens is supposed to be astounding. As far as routes, if it were me, I would take I-94 to US-127 to SR-50 up to Grand Rapids (mostly because I have never had the time to drive that way).
