  1. Default Chicago to New York in 7 to 8 days

V and I are planning a road trip from Chicago to New York (or visa versa). Call a test of the strength of our relationship and pray it has the flexibility of Gumby… our stops must include Boston and Cincinnati… well, Boston is optional according to V since the Sox won’t be in town the week we are traveling… different story entirely…

What we ask of you is suggestions of all the interesting and unique places to see in between… Niagra… Hershey, PA… Woodstock… heck, the ground hog city might be fun!... it seems these places are all over the map, so again, we’d cut these out…. We want it to be whirlwind, but not stressful… if we want to stay in one place longer, so be it…. But we want the options…

Has anyone made such a trip? Bueller. Bueller. Bueller.

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! Kinda of a scary way to test the compatibiltiy of your relationship, it seems to me. This little quiz might be a kindler and gentler approach!

Whirlwind.. but not stressful? Well.. what kinds of experiences are you seeking?
Has anyone made such a trip?
Many, many times. One question -- is this going to be on the scale of a Ferris Bueller's Day-off scheme?

It's hard to say what kind of experiences we are seeking... we want fun... V wants to do fun factory tours, I want to make in time to Chicago to see a game at Wrigley... but, we're the type of people that would take our pictures next to the world's largest fry pan... but, we want to make sure we're not in the car the whole time... i want zaniness, historical, hysterical... we plan on doing New York for two days and get to Chicago by Saturday to see a game and fly out on Sunday... Cinci is a must to stop and see friends... also, we're hikers and love the out of doors... also, well, great places to eat are always a must... narrow down... perhaps, but what would be the fun in that?

Thanks for the response and we look forward to your reply.... we live in the west and want to see the East....
