Saint Louis to DC -- Best route

I'm trying to figure out which route to take from STL to DC. We're not really really interested in stopping and seeing anything, unless there are any must-see attractions. We're looking to drive about 500-600 miles the first day. Is one route more scenic than another? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Riley, I would follow I-70, it is the most direct and passes through some interesting cities and it would be the fastest. As far as scenic goes, there are plenty of roads that might be more scenic, but they will be much slower.
