Toyota is rolling out a successor to their Land Cruiser -- called the F-J Cruiser and it looks pretty amazing. Anyone seen one in person yet?

Saw it at the auto show when it was just a prototype, saw it at this years autoshow. I am planning on purchasing one when they are released. They are also planning on releasing a Moab edition this summer I think, which is a factory offroad edition.
If you look at the link referenced above and click on "The F-J Bulletin" and then open the Rubicon Field Report and read it... you will be amazed at what they did to get a stock F-J down Rubicon -- it took some professional drivers and spotters, but it still happened. The best part, they keep talking about keeping the price in the low to mid-20's. Yehaw!Originally Posted by LA Native

I've seen the pictures of the FJ on the rubicon, there's another site with a lot more pictures of the trip, I'll see if i can find the link again. Made it through with no damage! There's also some good video of the FJ on the edmunds site and here

Before you get too excited about the low 20's base price, like all toyota's, it is gonna be for a bare bones stripped down version. If you opt for 4wd and offroad extras, you're easily looking at $30K+, very close to the 4runner cost. Especially since they're going to be selling for MSRP for at least the first year. I want to wait for the special edition coming out (plus there's rumor of a removable hardtop in the future?), but I still might put down a deposit just to get my name on the waiting list for a test drive. Now my FJ40 can have a baby brother!
