A tire shop can try to "retrain" the sensors. This is easy with the equipment they have.

I would not worry about the tire pressure warning light as long as the tires are verified as being inflated to the correct pressure. It probably just needs a new sensor in one or more of the wheels....

I-40 is still closed in western NC but they might get 1 lane open by New Years. I would recommend an alternate. The published detours are I-81 and I-77 or I-24 and US-74 or US-25 and I-26.
