Dillema's are popping up every 5 minutes:

Driving from Death Valley to Bryce (1 night stay): Always drive through Zion? We will have a 2 night Zion visit after Bryce, so maybe it is better to take an alternative route to Bryce? Google Maps suggest to drive all the way beyond Dixie National Park, and then through Panguitch to Bryce, but i doubt this is the most scenic.
Is this worth considering? Or the alternative through Dixie? Or take the Zion route anyway?

Zion National Park would be a detour for any route from Death Valley to Bryce. But especially now that you are planning to stop at Rhyolite! By the way, the best time to visit Rhyolite is at sunset or slightly before!

I would just take I-15 through Las Vegas -- take the side trip to Snow Canyon -- and then UT-14 to Panquitch (Red Canyon is great) and then into Bryce. Then you can go south to Zion. Here's a field report to give you an idea of that area. Be sure to stop at Coral Pink Sand Dunes on the way!

May I suggest that you take UT-148 off UT-14 through Cedar Breaks, than UT-173 on to Panguitch?

Nice, so that would take us through Dixie National Forest. More scenery? If so, it is probably worth the extra 30 mins :)

The scenery through Cedar Breaks is spectacular, and UT-143 (I made a mistake in my last post) is regarded as one of the more scenic roads in Utah.

I have been sobbing about the fact i am missing the opportunity to watch an NBA game (i play bball myself), i will miss the game by 5 days :-(.
Anyway, i was considering to watch the Kings instead, then at least i have been in the stadion :-). I noticed (probably cus its pre-season) there are some tickets for $4 (www.ticketcity.com). Those are probably nosebleed seats, but i would go mostly to experience the staples center and the way Americans live the games.

Therefor i wonder:
1. Will the tickets be same price at the center? That way i dont have to feel guilty if we deceide not to go after all
2. Will it be crowded? It's a pre-season, but it would be sad to sit in a empty stadion :-).

What is the game date and in which arena is it?

I'm guessing you're looking at the game against Phoenix on Sept 15th, based on your previous schedule.

You'll almost certainly pay less for a game like this on the secondary market, like the $4 tickets you are looking at. The actual box office price for the cheapest seat is over $30, but there should be no reason to spend anywhere close to that, as I'm sure there will be plenty of season ticket holders looking to get rid of their tickets. If you aren't sure yet if you're going to go, just wait until a day or two before the game, and you'll likely still find plenty of deals. I've never used Ticketcity, but you might also want to check out Stubhub, which is probably the biggest resale site. Stubhub also includes all their fees in the list price, and you can download the tickets instantly, unlike a lot of other sites run by brokers where there can be a lot of extra fees and shipping charges not included in the list price.

Looking at the box score from the Kings preseason opener in 2012 (last year was the lockout), the attendance is listed at 10,500 so it's not going to be a sold out crowd at all, but you shouldn't be looking at an empty arena either.

Thank you for your response. 10,500 definitly looks acceptable :-), we should experience some of the atmosphere in the arena.
I think we will only be able to deceide it on the 15th (the matchday), so i hope the Stubhub site will work on the tablet or i can buy secondary tickets at the center (unlikely?)
