May 4th -- 7:45 am PDT (Mud level was at the dam height when they started digging out)
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog...ailey_0748.jpg
May 4th also at 7:45 am PDT (For perspective, after the mud flows, the mud level reached nearly to the bottom of the spill way opening--water was free flowing at that height into the channel--at the right-hand side of this photo)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And work continues on May 5th

May 11th at 4 pm PDT -- Ready for more trucks in the morning.
--> Sierra Madre Canyon
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the tractors are building a shelf for the dump trucks to load, as they continue to dig deeper and deeper:

This photo shows the depth of the digging, see the tractor by the dam wall? Water and mud was overflowing the dam a few weeks ago.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The floor of the dig-out keeps going lower and lower.

Bailey Canyon, May 16th at 10:54 am PDT.
That enormous pile of mud/debris is nearly, nearly gone!

May 19th at 11:15 am PDT.
Look how little of the pile is left to move!

Getting ready for more trucks removing dirt today.
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog...raMadreDam.jpg
June 6th at 8:08 am
------------------------------------------
I don't see any of the larger tractors -- just the Bobcat this morning:
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog...raMadreDam.jpg
June 10th at 9:20 am
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, they don't seem to be loading any longer from the dirt down by the dam. There is only one tractor loading and it is up by the access road. All of those staged trucks will back up into the bay by the tractor and then up the hill.
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog..._0611_0546.jpg
June 11th at 8:40 am
----------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I got that wrong.
They are still loading from the dam front area. Note how far down the dump truck is parked near the dam front!

June 12th at 9:12 am
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A lot less activity today:
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog..._0618_1512.jpg
June 18th at 3:15 pm
---------------------------------------------------------------
Since there is no room to turn around next to the dam face, I don't even know how this could work:
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog..._0620_1141.jpg
June 20th at 10:30 am
-----------------------------------------------------------
The are still at it. They fill the entire front of the dam area with empty trucks and then back up and are filled at the top of the ramp and then up the road they go.

And today:

June 10th at 9:00 am
And check this out -- yesterday, they obliterated the truck haul road!
https://www.roadtripamerica.com/blog..._0613_0712.jpg
June 13th at 7:12 am
Oh, how clever, they are still hauling from here -- but looks to lower the access flow from the canyon considerably.

June 13th at 9:31 am
And, it is looking to me that they might actually be done here at Bailey Debris Basin:
