Champagne Pool in Waiotapu, New Zealand
Printable View
YES! I love thermal areas and will visit them when and where ever I get a chance!
#1 Hint: It is on a dirt trail in the Old Faithful area. It's a geyser but we've never seen it go off.
#2 Fairy Falls - Correct
#3 Champagne Pool in Waiotapu Geothermal, New Zealand - Correct
#4 Lone Star Geyser - Correct
#5 Imperial Geyser - Correct
#6 Is on a paved trail in the Old Faithful area but kind of remote and all by its self.
So I guess we're celebrating with Champagne instead of Tea or Punch! ;)

Rez is not so good. Any takers on this one?
One hint: Getting to these pools is easy -- gentle hike about 1/2 mile from paved road.

This looks like the falls drop into a hot springs area so with a quick google search I was able to find them and they are indeed hot spring pools. I'll give others a chance to come up with the correct answer. We've been in the area a few times but not this spot.

Megan and I have been here 3-4 times. There is something a little different about the source of the water for this waterfall...

Sorry Rick those are not correct. I thought after Mark got Champagne Pool for #3 others would get the rest of the subtle hints I gave in post #220.
"I'm sure you detectives will be able to google the rest. ;) Should we celebrate with Tea, Punch or Champagne?"
#1 is Artemisia Geyser that can be found if you keep hiking on the dirt path past Morning Glory Pool in the Old Faithful area. Artemisia is also a tea
#6 is Punch Bowl Springs which is also in the Old Faithful Area It is a short side trip on the trail leading west from the Daisy Group loop.
So to recap - Yellowstone - off the beaten path

Hidden Waterfall Fairmount Hot Springs, British Columbia.
When I went looking for the source is when I found this blog that tells all about it.

BUT then I also found where there had been a mud slide and it looks like it's not what it use to be.
