Rand McNally online says it is 1172 miles from Chicago to Tucumcari, and they say 19 hours of driving time.
MS Streets and Trips says that it's 1266 and 19 hours driving 75 MPH on the interstates from Chicago to Amarillo, Texas and then the speed limit on the highways to Roswell, NM. This does not take into consideration getting off the Interstate and getting gas about 3 to 5 times (add 15 to 30 minutes for each of those) You will still be driving all the next day with two little ones that will need to get out and run off some energy. Even if you can eat while driving, you probably won't reach Rosewell until about 5 P.M. or 6 P.M.Quote:
