I have a version which holds 8 cans of soda. It works great, but can take a while to cool something down that was put into it warm or room temperature. I personally don't use the "warming" option. I installed an auxillary battery in my van, and run it off that. This way I can leave it running and not worry about draining my main vehicle battery down when parked.

"Battry and Gas do not go hand and hand."
they certainly do. if you leave on the fridge, lights, radio, etc. without the engine on the battery will eventually go dead. so, the engine needs to be running to charge the battery. the engine needs gas to run. therefore, the electrical system USES GAS. many people think the electrical system doesn't decrease gas milage because the engine is running to drive the car anyways. THIS IS NOT TRUE. it violates the laws of thermodynamics. running your little fridge WILL decrease gas milage. HOWEVER, it will be such a small amount, you won't even notice. it will probably use less than 2 gallons over the entire trip.
a couple people had questions about the heating feature that some coolers have. it is simply a switch that reverses the positive and negative wires to the Peltier Device that does the cooling. in cooling mode, the Peltier takes heat from inside the cooler and puts it outside. in heating mode the peltier takes heat from outside the cooler and puts it inside.
