The latest storm looks as though it means business! It's rolling in on Thursday and looks to be causing chaos right through the weekend!

* WHAT...Dangerous to impossible travel from blizzard conditions
Friday into Saturday morning. Snow accumulations 4 to 8 feet
above 6000 feet. Total snow 2 to 4 feet from 5000 feet to 6000
feet. Snowfall 1 to 3 feet from 4000 feet to 5000 feet. Total
snow accumulations 1 to 2 feet above 2500 feet. Winds may gust
as high as 65 mph on exposed ridgetops and along the crest.
* WHERE...Yosemite NP outside of the valley, Upper San Joaquin
River, Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge and Kings Canyon NP.
* WHEN...Winter storm from 4 PM Thursday to 10 AM PST Sunday,
with blizzard conditions expected Friday into Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be extremely difficult and dangerous to
impossible. Widespread blowing snow can reduce visibility to
near zero with whiteout conditions. Strong winds and heavy
snow load could cause tree damage and power outages. Wind
chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero can be expected.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must
travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded,
stay with your vehicle.

Even a 6-foot dump of new snow would create a legitimate "HUMP" here.

Yeah that image is blurry! Could it possibly be condensation in the lens, or the focus point on the growth of the hump? The weather looks more settled this coming week with only a small amount of snow predicted around Weds. March usually means the snow surveys get underway so we may get some indication of snowfall amounts soon.
