Gallup is not a good place to stop with COVID. It's one of the hardest hit communities anywhere. Last May, they did a total shutdown and barricaded the highway exits it was so bad. Holbrook should be a much better bet. Poway to Holbrook is 575 miles via the route I suggested. Holbrook to COS is 610 miles.
