For anyone lucky enough to be heading to Yosemite the Tioga pass is now open to traffic. However it is that time of year where it is wise to continue checking the Yosemite website and call ahead for the very latest info.
Dave.
My guess is Nov 11th at 3 pm.
There was snow next to hut at Tioga Pass entrance to park earlier this month and will try posting photo later.
Jessica.
Well the weather looks wonderful up on the pass with daytime temps in the 60's. These start to drop off later in the week, with night time temps well below freezing, which sometimes leads to the Pass being temporarily closed overnight/early morning if ice has formed and not re-opening until such time the daytime sun gets to work on it. Apart from that slight risk, the immediate future looks bright for anyone wishing to drive along Tioga.
Dave.
1 to 2 feet of snow coming in this weekend!
Both Tioga Pass and Glacier point road are temporarily closing today at 5pm in advance of the storm. With snow starting to fall tonight and forecast to go right through until Monday or Tuesday it may be a while before it reopens.
Dave.
Tioga Pass and Glacier point have both reopened to traffic, but there is a chance of snow showers later in the week.
Dave.
Plenty of precipitation possible this week with rain and snow showers in the forecast and the possibility of up to 8 inches of snow accumulation on Wednesday. With highs of 45F and lows of 23F to follow on Thursday I wouldn't be surprised if we see another closure, even if it's just temporary.
Dave.
As expected, the Tioga pass is temporarily closed due to icy conditions with a winter storm warning in place.

My first date has come and gone. Hoping it is not a year of little snow which means little water.
Trying again -- Nov 30th at 3 pm however if a date needs to be more than 15 days out, then Dec 1st at 3 pm.
