The East Rim Drive is AZ-64 from the east entrance to the village. This is also called Desert View Drive. That's really the South Rim. There is a "Grand Canyon East" which begins just below Glen Canyon Dam, and it's usually visited from down in the canyon. That's not feasible within the scope of this trip, it usually requires 4 wheel drive and a lot of hiking to get there.
