Hi All,
After a little (lot) more investigation we've come down on the following itinerary for our honeymoon in May - it's worth noting that we're both very active - keen beach volleyballers, want to take some surf lessons:
Day 1: Arrive San Fran (early PM)
Day 2: San Fran
Day 3: Pick up campervan and head down the Pacific Coast Highway stopping at Kirk Creek (via Point Lobos and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park)
Day 4: Hiking around Big Sur before driving To San Luis Obispo and visiting the SLO market
Day 5: Drive from SLO to Santa Barbara East Beach (Beach volleyball! :-))
Day 6: Drive down to Santa Monica
Day 7: Drive to Huntington Beach - surf lessons
Day 8: Beach day/LA
Day 9: Drive on Route 66 to Grand Canyon
Day 10: Grand Canyon
Day 11: Grand Canyon
Day 12: Head to Bryce Canyon
Day 13: Head to Zion
Day 14: Travel to Vegas
Day 15: Travel to Yosemite
Day 16: Yosemite
Day 17: Yosemite
Day 18: Yosemite
Day 19: Travel to San Francisco
Day 20: San Francisco
Day 21: San Francisco
Day 22: Fly home (early AM)
Any feedback on things that we haven't taken into consideration or tips that could make things easier/better would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Kirsty

Looks good.
Hi Kirsty.
It's looking good and what a wonderful Honeymoon to look forward too !
As I mentioned earlier on, if you want to camp within the NP's you should consider checking availability and booking in advance if possible. I think it was also mentioned that the Tioga pass into Yosemite [CA120] may still be closed when you travel meaning that you would have to go south via Bakersfield and into Yosemite from the west side. I hope it's open for you as it is a spectacular drive and you can include Death valley perhaps. Either way you might want to consider an overnight stop on route to Yosemite and get somewhere close. If Tioga was open you could stay around Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Lee Vining area and enjoy the pass next morning. If closed you could get as far as Oakhurst near Yosemite, but that would be pushing it if you wanted to go via Death valley , in which case maybe Fresno.

Great! Good to know our thinking's in the right direction - and we had indeed planned Lee Vining as our first choice stop-over reverting to somewhere else (currently undecided if we can't use Tioga pass).
On a separate point, we're looking to go to the San Luis Obispo market but I'm struggling to find an RV park too close by - what/where would you recommend?
Thanks,
Kirsty
