Can't argue with that logic, and also rechecked I-40 harbingers -- seems they were shortlived or overstated. So, Amarillo and back to Plan A. Works fine for us. Thanks for feedback.

Can't argue with your logic. Heading for Amarillo. Thanks.
Hey – just wanted to let you know that we made it !… largely because of RTA folks help with the initial game plan;… but really, it was your “tag-along” support during the journey that we came to appreciate so much. Especially when the weather became a travel concern. Television certainly communicated the cautionary info; but we put the car keys down only after we received your weather links and maps, and “heard” concern and the sage advice of experience. Each morning we would have coffee and check the RTA site for any new comments or suggestions that might have been posted. We had the genuine sense that you were traveling with us, “watching the store,” on our behalf, and our thanks to you is HUGE ! We are planning future road trips with family and so, our paths will be crossing again. Looking forward to it !!
Although I didn't contribute, I watched with interest and it's good to see that your trip turned out well.
So are we ! Hope to see you around the forums soon !Quote:

I’m glad to hear that you made it to New York OK, and glad that we could help you while you were on the road. Just FYI, here’s a look at what was going on in New Mexico the day you decided to stay in Flagstaff.
