I have several vintage travel trailers that I take out from time to time. One piece of advice that I would have is price out hotel/motel costs. You may find that the added expense and hassles of taking the trailer along, set up, clean up, water tanks, sewer tanks, etc, etc, are simply not worth it. One other thing to keep in mind, I have run into a few places with restirctions on trailers due to steep grades, sharp corners, or just an overall lack of room.
I dont want to sound like I am discouraging you from taking the trailer, but if you want to see everything on your itinerary, leaving the trailer at home may be the best option. I only take my trailers out now when I am attending a car show with on grounds camping or I will scout out local county and state parks for sights large enough for it. Anything farther away from home, I just book a room.

Well I've come to terms that we just can't see everything we want to see. Too many thing are off the major highways and take time to get to, plus we don't want to be running from car to attraction and starting a stop watch and running back. We want to enjoy this trip not rush it. We really prefer to take the trailer. Is there anyway to know where you can and can't take it before you get to that point?
I was thinking about this itinerary
Leave Bentonville, Ar August 1
Try to see 4 corners and something else around that area on the way to Las Vegas.
Get to LV in a timely manner with enough time to see a show and have some fun. Leave next morning and go to L.A.
Try to see some "stars" homes and just look around, We would like to somehow see atleast part of the PCH on route to San Francisco. this may take more than a day and that's fine. A must see is Alcatraz and some wineries. We would then leave SF and make our way to Moab, Ut to visit Arches. Then off to Denver as a stop between Utah and Missouri. Head to Kansas City and maybe continue the drive back home
This sort of a trip has to be doable, I'm just having trouble planning it.

Midwest Michael, ya out there? I know a trip like this doesn't have to be planned 5 months in advance, but I'd want to get some sort of a plan that is doable and research from there

limits
I really don't see what you've changed from your original plan.
Ultimately, there are only so many hours in a day, and you can only cover so many miles in those hours. From the very outset, you've set up a route that would require you to cover a lot of miles every day and doing with a trailer that is going to limit your ability to quickly cover those miles. If covering that route is your biggest goal, then the number of things you can stop to see will be limited. If you want more time to see things, then you'll probably have to shorten the length of your route.
So, yes, this trip is doable, but it will involve making choices. You can't just shuffle around the same itinery and expect everything to just work itself out.
